Alabaster in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees
In the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, at an altitude of 1,636 metres, the Termas de Tiberio, popularly known as the Panticosa Spa, is conceived as a space where architecture, water and light create an immersive wellness experience.
The complex, designed by Rafael Moneo, blends into the hillside with a gentle, stepped design, adopting the natural topography of the valley and integrating with its surroundings.
Its organisation on different levels allows natural light to accompany visitors on a sensory journey that connects warm, enclosed spaces with areas open to the high mountain landscape.
Thanks to its translucency, alabaster diffuses light evenly, creating organic lighting that envelops visitors in a sense of calm, intimacy and well-being. This soft light accompanies the rhythm of the spa and amplifies the sensory experience of those who enjoy it.
Our alabaster defines a unique atmosphere. It elevates the user experience, allows light to become a natural part of the architecture and reinforces the quiet luxury that distinguishes this Pyrenean enclave. Proof of how a natural material can become the common thread of contemporary design without losing its natural origin.
Zaida alabaster variety
At the Panticosa Spa, a space designed for well-being and relaxation, our alabaster is integrated as an essential architectural element to create a serene, natural and deeply enveloping atmosphere.
Our Zaida variety, sourced from our quarries in Aragón, stands out for its exceptional translucency in snow white, with reddish earth tones and subtle cloudy textures.
Due to its ethereal beauty and incomparable light behaviour, combined with our professional experience with the material, Zaida has become our most sought-after variety by architects and interior designers.
Each slab was carefully selected and worked to ensure perfect translucency and respect for the natural and unique veining of the stone.
